"Ookay.. Isn't salty and sweet a contradiction in terms?" He'd been waiting forever to use that phrase, ever since he heard Vexen refer to him as one. Although, actually, it'd sounded more like something-moron (in which he had grasped quite well) at first, but he'd had it explained to him a bit later after a blank stare that he was ever so good at.
Quite soon, he found himself at a stop in the part of the cave he'd saved her in, and found himself asking an oh-so-familiar question in his head: What now? What kind of world traveling transportation could someone use here, aside from the Order's dark portals? And so he watched, and waited to see what she would do.

Naminé laughed at this statement, swearing she'd heard it before. She put off thinking of who and laughed a bit more. "That's the point. It's complete opposites rolled into one," she said. "And who did you get that from? I can't recall the–" She reminded herself that Demyx did not remember her. She walked a bit more, stopping in the middle of the area. A classic dark portal appeared, routed into Traverse Town and awaiting someone to enter. it.

Demyx was left hanging, and somewhat confused. Partially because of the fact that she'd stopped in midsentence, and partially to that a dark portal had appeared out of nowhere.
As one of the rules of thumb, those with short attention spans generally focus on the most current thing that happened. And as Demyx was included in the group of people with short attention spans, the incomplete sentence got lost in his mind, giving way to curiousity on how the portal got there. He could only assume..
"That.. your portal?"

Naminé nodded, stepping in and turning so as to motion to Demyx that she was waiting. "Yes, it's my portal," she said with a sigh. "And Vexen used that expression, didn't he? He always confused you..." She saw no reason to keep trying to fool him–she was bad at lying to begin with and that was just one sentence. She definately could NOT keep this up...

Wait.. She knew who Vexen was..? And she apparently knew how conversations went with him--confusing (vexing, it could even be said). His mind grasped several conclusions at once, and although this feeling was somewhat new to him, he managed to sort them out.
"You've met me before--in The Castle That Never Was--haven't you?" He was going to mention something about her being a nobody, but that was a subject he didn't like to touch on.

[ahahaha vexen and vexing...*stupid XD* and wow. Demyx's mind didn't like, blow up *shot*] Naminé laughed, nodding a bit and putting her hands behind her back. "Yes, we have," she said, nodding again. "And then Marluxia took me to Castle Oblivion with him." She decided to let Demyx's brain expand its full capacity and mull over this new information. By her remembrances, he wasn't the brightest bulb in the box...but she didn't think he was the dimmest either. The dark portal swilred around her, leading into the unknown.

Right. He remembered something about Marluxia taking someone somewhere. Another, slightly more random thought also accompanied it, partially insulting Marluxia's creepy fashion sense and partially insulting the way he used his element. Might have just been him, but attacking with flying pink flowers was just strange.
Demyx's brain activity continued closer towards its cap as actual memories of Namine came in, along with more things about Vexen (which happened to be out of place by a mile). Antidisestabl-something? He shuddered, and releaved his mind of Vexen's confusing terminology. He'd ask her about this stuff later, perhaps. For now, he'd follow her through the portal to Twilight Town--he was getting hungry.

Naminé seriously hoped Demyx's brain wouldn't explode from all the thinking he must be going through. While hoping this, she stepped completely into the portal, her voice floating out from the darkness. "Are you coming?" Her eyes were barely visible through the pitch black, the shimmering blue doing what they did best: shimmer.
Sickening, eh? My eyes don't shimmer...

Right. It's one thing to think (which he was getting sick of doing at this point) about going through the portal, but he figured he should, you know, actually go through it. And so he did, walking faster to catch up with her, becoming enveloped in an oh-so-familiar feeling--that of darkness.
Hey, wait.. Were her eyes shimmering in the pitch black? He'd never figure that one out, nor did he intend to try.

[You can. If I do, it'll be a while, as I'd have to find an alliterative pun involving music.]

[For the title. I plan on making it a tradition. (Alliteration is using the same sounds for the beginning of words. You know, like Requeim of Riches--a requiem is a musical thing done at funerals sometimes, and Requeim and Riches start with the same sound. Riches refer to the gold and such, and requiem refers to the curse of undeath that comes with the Aztec gold, thus a pun is born.)]
