Dai looked over the edge of the postern, the same place she had met Xiad weeks before. She couldn't stop thinking about it, sure she hadn't been in Radiant Garden long, she had been in a boarding house where she worked to stay. She was quite happy with it until she met Xiad. Xiad had told her about being her nobody. She was confused. She knew, yes, she had turned into a heartless, but Taero had reclaimed her heart for her. She was confused.
Dai put her head in her hands as she looked at the sky, wishing Taero would come back to her. They had been friends forever and Taero had left to go see what she could do to help in this war. She wished she could have gone as well. But, Taero being himself would not hear of such a thing, ever the playing the male hero.
Taero was always the hero. She crossed her heels as her skirt blew a little in the breeze. She looked down at the town for a moment and looked down on the house she was staying in. It was wonderful, yes, but she desired more. This sparked yet another thought to her.
Xiad felt nothing. She said she felt no pain, she was different, nobody. Dai had known little about nobodies before Xiad, she did not know how they came to existinces, and yet...they did not exist. Dai did not understand any of this anymore.
Dai slowly began to turn around as she decided she'd rather talk this over with one of the other people at the boarding house, two of which she had met. She looked down at the town for a moment as she looked over th path she would take to get to the house. Slowly she turned around to see the blank postern, where she stood quite often.
Dai slid her hand across the railing and slowly walked towards town.

Storm trudged up the steps that lead from the corridors to the postern, her expression calm and collected. Her slightly streaked hair fluttered in a faint wind that weaved through the castle, stirring up dust and sand as well as heartless. Sure, they caused little trouble to the darkness weilding Storm, but they were still very...annoying.
"Nothing..." she grumbled, taking the last step rather clumsily. She regained her balance, letting her gaze fall over the crumbling town.
It possesses as sort of...shattered elegance, she found herself thinking. Her gaze became outlying as if she were drifting off to sea. In reality, she was trying to imagine the town young and full of life.
That image did not come easy.
Finally, Storm's gaze landed on Dai, who was walking towards town. Storm wondered if the girl would make it alive, but said nothing.

Dai heard something beside her after a moment. She stopped with a jolt and slowly turned her head, as the short brown hair moved faster and sweeped over her face. She pushed it behind one ear and looked as three beings to the dark stood next to her. She toke a step back after a moment as she stared at them. She had not faught them herself, she always had someone nearby, or fighting along side her.
Dai did not know what to do as they slowly walked towards her, with every step getting a little faster. Dai toke a step back herself as she heard a piece of rock fall, she looked behind her only to find that she was againest a ledge.
Dai paniced. There was only one way to go, run right threw. She slowly lifted her hand to them and pushed it slowly forward as it slowly spun. A blast of air, spinning as it went, pushed the being againest the hard rock on the other side of the trail. Dai stared for moment as it seemed she could stand there forever and never be hurt, but she knew that wasn't realality.
Dai picke dup her thoughts and began to run down the path, looking back for a only a moment, not seeing Storm yet.

Storm rolled her eyes, which glistened with humor. Cowardice always amused her. It also made her pity the coward who showed it so freely.
Idiot.
She calmly walked forward, the heartless disappating into the air with a simple flick of her bangled wrist.
"Insolent beings," she muttered, following Dai at a much slower pace. She looked up at the sky, which was its normal self. Clouds drifted lazily across it, but most were hidden from view by Hollow Bastion. The heeping, broken castle loomed over the town like a monster.
"You're a good runner," she finally called out, voice mocking and sharp. It was directed towards Dai.

When Dai was a good distance from the heartless she looked over towards the source of the sound. She let out a heavy breath, more like a pant then a breath. She turned slowly to look at the girl who was talking to her.
"Me?" She asked, in a kind of dumbfounded voice, she knew of course she was the one being talked too, but she wasn't sure if she was being mocked or complemented. "Thanks you, I guess." She added onto the end, just to sound polite, and not completly at a loss for words.
Dai watched as a couple more heartless appeared, she hated fighting them, for the last time it made Xiad.

Storm gave a bark-like laugh, her sowrd appearing in a flash of darkness. She then smirked and shook her head.
"It wasn't a complement, hon," she said, her tone very amused. She proceeded to ram her blade through a heartless. The victim burst into darkness, finally disappearing completely. "Can you not fight?" He tone was once again ridiculing, as if she took joy in watching Dai...which she very much did. "Or are you 'just so good that you don't want to show off.'"
Her smirk deepened, a tell tale sign that she was in a rather bad mood.

Dai looked at her a little angry. "Neither." She said to her. She could fight, but she never wanted to, she was never a good fighter. "I can fight, but not well." She said to her as she lowered her head a little in pity.
Dai's short brown hair covered half her face, blocking one of her deep blue eyes. She looked at the girl, who was obviously nothing like Dai. She knew they would not come to be friends at the end of the day.
Dai's day would merely end with yet another tear, most likely.

"Ah, I see. Well, practice makes perfect," Storm replied truthfully and sincerely. She pushed a long blonde hair behind her ear, raising her eyebrows. The glared at a heartless that had appeared, sending a small burst of darkness to deal with it. "And that's the truth." She shrugged, pushing more hair out of her face but leaving her bangs to keep covering her left eye. She was not ashamed of the eye, she just did not want anyone freaking out.
Freak outs were very bad.

Dai tilted her head a little and crossed her arms. As small breeze came and it blew her hair, and her plaid skirt. She put her hand to the side of her head as the wind began to slow down. "Well, that's nice." She said as she looked ather, not really caring much. "But, you are right, I do know that." She said, she knew it but she never aknowledged it. She never practiced, she hadn't since she got to Radiant Garden. She had merely dodged and escaped attacks. No more then that had happened between Dai and the heartless, except for Xiad...
The Xiad topic popped up once again...

Darkness apeared behind Storm, acting as a bench. She deftly sat down on it, crossing her legs and bracing herself on her arms. "So, what has a girl like you got on her mind?" she asked with a rather forced smile. "Certainly nothing too life threatening, eh?" The darkness swirled, creating various patterns in the air. For a moment, part of it was a butterfly.
So innocent, the blonde thought, inwardly chuckling.

Dai watched as formed these patterns, everyone giving Dai something different to think about. "Everything." Dai didn't know what else to say, it was everything, Taero, her world, Xiad, the heartless. Xiad bugged her most, but she wasn't much in the mode for a disscusion about something Dai knew little about, even if it was part of her.
She knew this, yes, and she aknowledged it. It was true. Xiad and Dai were connected, how was unknown. It was if Xiad shared something of Dai's. Dai came back to the girl sitting on the bench...
"Why do you care?"

Storm chuckled, shrugging and shaking her hair. This caused it to fall fully behind her shoulders, revealing her eye.
"I'm just curious," she said with another shrug, looking at her nails. "Is that such a crime?"
She smirked, challenging Dai to say that it was.

Dai gazed into her eye for a moment, the difference pulling her in. Dai shook her head a little and went back to the question. "Not a crime, just....I wouldn't expect someone like you to worry over such things."
Someone like you...who was someone like her? Dai knew nothing of Storm, just as she knew nothing of everyone else almost, she didn't even know of Taero's location, if he was even alive that was.

"Someone like me?" Storm asked, raising her eyebrows. "Someone like me. And what does that mean?" She knew she was probably being called heartless, but it's nice to hear things like this. She looked expectant, twirling a fine hair around her finger and leaning towards Dai ever so slightly.

"Yes, someone who...I'm not quite sure." Dai didn't feel like explaining her own thoughts to a girl she would probably never see again. She began to lift her hand and looked at Storm. "I really think I ought to, be, going." She sad putting her hand over her shoulder, pointing to the town below. "If I am not home soon, for sre the boarders will be worred about me." She said as a small lie, what would the boarders care about her? They would find another person to pay them for living in their house.
