Roxas exploded through and portal and rolled onto the dry ground of the Pride Lands. Having no idea where he was, he took his time in getting up and looking around. He blinked a few times, thinking about how he was ever going to get used to that form of travel. In a fit, he attempted to stand up and fell instantly. It was almost like he had...four legs!?
Roxas jumped to his feet and looked around franctically. He was...a lion?! He was bright blonde like his hair, and his mane more or less matched his own hair. Around his neck, he saw a chain with his nobody symbol on it. He also saw on his wrist, his checkered band. He was stunned to see this sudden transformation, that he almost kicked himself in disbelief.
"There's no way..." He said to himself, rather loudly.

[because i'm bored out of my mind]
Naminé sat nearby, watching for anything or anyone. She was plain and simple–light blonde fur and big blue eyes. A ring of periwinkle wrapped around the tip of her tail, the only thing that really linked her to her usual form. And then someone stumbled out of a portal. Someone similar to a person Naminé was seeing a lot of lately.
"There's no way..."
"Why do you say that?" she asked with a small smile, padding over to Roxas. She walked a full circle around him before sitting in front of him, tail waving from side to side lazily. Her head tilted to the right a bit.

"Well, it's not everyday I get turned into a--...Wait a second...Namine?"
Roxas recognized something about her that told him who she was. He wasn't sure exactly what that something was, but he knew it was there. Maybe it was a smell or something...he was a lion after. He had been running into her quite a bit lately anyway, so it wasn't too surprising. He got into a pouncing position, and looked at her. He wasn't going to pounce or anything.
"It's good to see a...semi-familiar face!"

Naminé laughed at his realization, nodding. Her tail paused it's lazy side to side movement, the end coming to rest on her front paws. "Same," she said with a smile. "It's awkward, being like this. I feel short and furry . . . which is exactly what I am."She laughed a bit more, then looked over her shoulder. "I was getting ready to go and see what was around. Have you been here before?" She assumed that he hadn't.

Roxas jumped up and looked around exitedly. It was about now that the idea of being a lion sounded pretty cool. He turned all the way around and looked over the landscape.
"No, I haven't. Mind if I tag along?"
His voice, dispite his excited appearence, was the same Roxas-like voice he always used. Calm and just...there basically. He turned back to Namine, and looked her over quickly. The fact that she was a lion cub made him laugh a little bit. He knew though, that he could be laughed at equally as much seeming as how he too was a lion. Still looking around at everything, he awaited Namine, to answer and be on their way.

Naminé nodded, getting up and turning around. She walked towards the exit of the small clearing. "Of course you can," she said with a smile. Unlike Roxas, her excitement manifested itself in no visible form–she looked and sounded perfectly calm. Her excitement was also copmletely different from Roxas's–it was not over exploring a new place, but something that seemed rather insignificant to others. Naminé was excited about the fact she could defend herself, if only a little bit. She walked out of the area, slowly so as not to lose Roxas.

Roxas followed happily, basically prancing. Everything look so much different that anywhere he had ever been! They definatly had a lot more trees. And not to mention the animals. Everything was just so new.
"So how did you end up here, Namine?"
He knew that she went everywhere, but it was a conversation starter. He himself, came through one of those dark portals aimlessly. He wasn't getting used to them, so it would seem.

Naminé looked at him, letting out a chuckle at how excited he seemed. While he bounced happily by her side, she kept a normal pace, still keeping up. She then turned her attention to his question. "It looked interesting, plus I wasn't really watching where I was going." She jumped over a large rock, eyeing the giant silhouette of Pride Rock on the horizon. She then found herself bumping off of Roxas due to the fact she hadn't been looking where she was going. She rebounded off him, tripping to the side a bit and losing all cooridnation. Not only did it feel funny to her, but it must've looked funny to Roxas. "Oh, sorry. Anyways . . . like I said: it just looked interesting."

Roxas was silent for a minute after she bumped off of him. Finally, he couldn't hold it in. He burst out in playful laughted and fell over on his side. As he laughed, he tried to talk.
"Hahaha, interesting huh? Hahah!"
He eventually stopped laughing, hoping he hadn't embarassed Namine or anything. It was only the two of them, so it couldn't have been that bad. He walked closer to her and smiled brightly, trying to show that it was all in good fun. He then turned his view to the large rock portruding out of the side of the mountain.
"Hey. Let's go there!"
As he said it, he sped off the the rock. He was a lot faster as a lion and it was a little overwhelming. He almost lost his footing, but managed to keep his balance.

Naminé blinked, watching him run off and trying to see what was so funny. Sadly, humor failed her at that moment and she was glad blushes didn't seem to show through fur. She then hopped off the rock herself, loping after Roxas at a slower pace and letting out a little laugh when he tripped. After a moment, she sped up, lengthening her strieds until she was just a bit behind Roxas.

They were almost there by this point. Their speed proved more than enough to get them far distances. As they came to the giant rock, Roxas skidded to a stop and nearly crashed into a smaller rock. He looked up to the large rock in awe and wondered what was on top. It wasn't until he looked back to Namine that he noticed all of the other lions prowling the area.
"Do you think they'll let us up there?"
He asked Namine, but he didn't think she'd know either. But she might, and that was all that mattered. He didn't want to break any rules or anything.

Naminé trotted up beside him, stopping in a much more graceful manner. She watched as curious looks were glanced their way for a moment. Soon, however, they became old news and Naminé allowed her attention to flow up to the large flat rock. "I don't believe they will mind," she said, watching the other lionesses. She sat down with a plop, trying to figure out how to itch her eye without poking it out. After a moment, she did, feeling very stupid and very awkward. She then began walking up the path that led to Roxas's point of interest, stopping and turning to look back at him.

Roxas quickly followed her. He wasn't as stumbly as before, he was starting to get the hang of it. He ran up with Namine to the top and immediatly ran to the edge and looked off. He was amazed by the side.
"Namine...come look at this."
The sun was setting and it reminded him of his old home that he was progressingly starting to remember. As he stared out to it, words came out of his mouth. He didn't mean to say them, they just came out. He didn't even know what he was saying.
"Hayner...Pence...Ollete.....that's what this reminds me of."
His voice took a more lucid tone. A sound of deep memories, and deep reminicing. When he said it, a few memories floated into his head and he took in a deep sigh. He couldn't think of anything to explain it with, but some how he just knew they were important to him. And that was enough for him.

Soon, Naminé was beside him, laying down with a soft thump and letting her front paws hang off the edge a bit. "Those are your friends, aren't they?" Naminé asked, dimly remembering them. Then, it clicked. "I remember them! You four used to come to the mansion a lot. . .or the gates at least" She vaguely wondered what it would be like to have friends like them, but she chased the thought away, turning her attention to the sunset. It cast a warm orange glow over the Pride Lands. "The sunset's pretty," she found herself saying. "I don't think I've seen one like this in a long time." The sunset drew here attention away from the fact she had been locked up with people who just needed her to fulfill a goal for all of her nonexistence.

Roxas sat and together they watched the sunset. It was quiet for a quick moment and Roxas thought about what she had said. About his friends. Without looking at her, he said what he had rehersed in his mind.
"Yeah, that's them." He said to answer the first thing. Then he paused to show he was moving onto the next thing she said.
"It is nice...Maybe it's things like this that make memories. They never go away...and there's always more to be added right over the horizon."
Again he was quiet, and then turned his head to Namine.
"We're friends...and no matter where we go, we'll remember each other...right?"
He didn't really know where he was going with it, but he felt it the right thing to say. Even if it didn't make any sense when he said it, it made plenty of sense when he thought about it.
