Riku's sleep lasted for some time. Until the sun started to set at least. His dreams however made his sleep seem a lot faster. Alls he saw was swirling darkness. But he was getting used to this, and it wasn't neccesarily bad to him. Just boring.
He finally began to stir. He quickly opened his eyes and sat up. It usually startled people around him, but it was just what he did now. Looking at Namine who was still there, he smiled a little bit. Then he looked down longingly at the water she had acquired, likely a little while ago.
"Do you mind...?" He asked modestly.

Naminé snapped out of her own daze, seeing that Riku was eyeing the water. She laughed at his question–the tone didn't seem to fit him. "Of course. It's for you anyways, and so is the other sandwich," she said with a smile, pushing the extra food towards him. She rubbed her eyes, eyeing the sun. She blinked the oncoming sleep away, shaking her head and forcing the thought out of her mind. Watching someone lay there sure made you tired... "Are you feeling better?"

Riku took a long gulp of water and rubbed his head. Putting it down, he looked at the sandwich and eyed it carefully. He would save it for a little bit...For now, he looked at Namine and answered her question.
"Yeah. I think I'll be okay..."
He had to keep a better tab on how much darkness he used. He may have had uncanny control over it, but it didn't mean it wasn't dangerous. He was almost certain Namine would say something similar to that...but maybe not.

Naminé looked at him, ditching the nagging because she was pretty sure he knew what she was going to say. "That's good," she said with a smile. She said nothing else–she merely got up and looked at the darkening sky. "I think I should pobably head off to Twilight Town...but first, I should ask you this: do you think I should get a weapon?" She sounded unsure. In reality, she didn't really want one, but she knew that she probably SHOULD have one...

Riku thought about the question deeply for a few moments. Namine needed a way to defend herself or she'd be toast next time heartless attacked her. She couldn't depend on random saviors to just be there all the time. Riku got up to his feet and dusted off his pants and shirt.
"Nah. Try something more elegent. I can't really see you with a sword...have you tried looking into magic?"
Riku's question wasn't so much of a question as it was a suggestion. Namine wasn't built to use weapons, she was physically frail. But he knew that she was mentally and spiritually strong, meaning that magic would work well with her. That's what he figured at least.

Naminé thought for a moment, processing the suggestion. "Well...no..." She had never had to–she'd always been cooped up or with someone who could fight. Now that she was being out on her own more often.... She found herself wondering why she hadn't ever been taught basic self defense. Wasn't that a law somewhere? Nevertheless...

Riku laughed at the face she made when she was thinking. It was a playful laugh, the kind he had when he was with Sora or Kairi. He walked up to Namine and faced he directly. He smiled a little.
"Don't worry. You'll be alright."
Riku meant it too. As long as she had her wits, she could make it through any situation. She didn't need a weapon or anything like that, not unless she wanted one. It wouldn't be a bad idea, but still. Riku stared at her for a while...she reminded him so much of Kairi that it was a little spooky. They acted very different on the surface...but it was something deeper. He always wondered what it would be like to meet someone just like him, but different.
"Say hi to Sora or Kairi if you see them around."

Naminé nodded, not really knowing what he was laughing at. "Likewise, though they probably won't remember me. No one does," she replied, not meaning for it to sound sad. Nevertheless, it did.
[*short* sorry]

Riku turned away and looked to the desert. He wasn't quite ready to leave the world yet, he had just gotten there in a sense. He put a hand in his pocket and leaned back a bit.
"Cheer up. If you remind them, they'll remember. As a matter of fact, I think it was Sora who said "You never forget your true friends.""
Riku gave a slight wave and walked towards the exit of the city. He knew there was more to it, but he was more interested in what was outside. Whatever was outside...

Naminé listened, nodding a bit and watching him leave. She laughed at his statement and stood up, brushing the sand from her bum.
"Bye...!" she called, waving also. After a moment, a portal appeared and she stepped into it on her way to Twilight Town.
